TAC's opening rant
Welcome to the TACcy report for February 2011. I've seen some activity which is always good. I've also got a few new competition ideas, and I'm already letting my brains rattle what to do to celebrate completing my 4th year as Tactical Officer of the Emperor's Hammer. And so far - I still like it :)

Well, things are heating up. It looks like we're actually gonna be getting a new Star Wars game, even if it is LEGO figures. Still, who knows what will come of that. We could use some new cannonfodder, err, members in the club.

As for boasting rights, as of yesterday I have taken every single IWATS course there is onlone at the moment, with 3 still awaiting to be graded. That's 119 courses taken, with 53 perfect scores. I rock! The only course I've not been able to complete so far is Crypto Analysis, the last question has me completely stupefied.

I'm also working on course notes for a new course, but I've no idea if it's gonna be enough to become an actual course, so I'm keeping it to myself for now :)

Keep flying people!

TAC's office business

My two TCSes appear to be flying some test missions, which is good since that leads to missions getting released, and everyone likes to see something new from time to time. Most of it is mine, since just about everything queued was made by me, but I'm still hoping for others to pick up the bug and start freating some missions. I do have one mission by LC Mark Schueler, but it's giving me a headache to fix a small but rather critical bug, but rest assured, we're working on it !

Competition wise, Dempsey's Web Games has finished. Although we got off to a slow start with only one participant, the other 3 weeks saw several people playing. Unfortunately most only played one or two weeks, which gave a rather easy overall victory to CM Gistenjunge with him being the only player to play all four weeks. Still, 9 medals were awarded, so congrats to the winners. I will be running a second edition of this competition, hopefully with more people playing all 4 weeks then.

The medals for Ace of the TIE Corps February have also been recommended/awarded. I'd like to remind all pilots to not pay much attention to the annual stats for 2011, my count still has to be fixed, there's about 660 missions that need to be reverted back to December 2010. As such, the competition is still wide open!

If anyone feels like he, too, has the skills to become a testpilot for the TAC Office, hit me with an email. There's plenty of work!

There are 9 million bicycles in Bejing.... Well, there used to be. As rumour has it, this rock will hit 7 BILLION people in 2011. So here's a crazy comp: kudos an shinies and everlasting bragging rights to whoever gets closest to the date the newspapers report 7 billion.
