Welcome to another TAC report. As always, this TAC report is brought to you by your Tactical Officer also known as Fleet Admiral Anahorn Dempsey, also known as..... let's just let you fill in the blank yourself :) We have a new XO, but you all knew that already. Welcome to the team, Maverick. Did anything else happen? erm.... lessee.... we did..... erm..... Well, for starters, Raise the Flag 2008 is done with, and while I tried my best, I couldn't get first place. I focused on single player flying, which gave me 1st place in the SP fivision, but that's the end of it. A heartfelt congrats to LC Zosite, Cyclone Squadron, Wing X and the Challenge for keeping the title in their own hands! Of course, I did manage to get some shinies for my efforts, which is a rare thing as a CSer - you have very little opportunity to collect medals for the medal case. Still, the IS-GW (2x) and IS-SW feel nice. And just for the heck of it, our Fleet Commander threw in a Silver Star of the Empire as well! Woohoo!
Oh yes - I screwed up the FCHG ranking system. The reason is simple. Our all time record holder is
none other than COL Brucmack with a whopping 6,010 points. Which puts
him in the 3rd highest FCHG rank. Not bad, you may say, but read
between the lines: anyone who knows Brucmack's record knows it's darn tooting almost impossible to
beat it. Look at Zosite Styles - with all the medals and high scores and MP victories he's not even
close. The conclusion is simple: reaching the rank of Imperator is
impossible. And why have a system where it's impossible to reach the upper two levels
(Templar and Imperator).
This means there's only a handful of people for who this changes their current FCHG rank. These people are: COL Brucmack (6,010: ARCN -> IMPR); LC Zosite Konstyte Styles (5,652: GLDR -> TMPR) and COL Pickled Yoda (4,224: EXCR -> GLDR). Note this is stats from the old site, I may be wrong here. There's a decent chance I'm in the list as well, but I haven't a clue as I'm not sure what my current FCHG rank is. So much for that, not much else. I'll be releasing one more report this year, and either that or the first in the new year will give you a summary of the TAC Office achievements for this year. That also means we'll be ruynning one or two more of the TACcy Quotes, to which a sequel will be running next year. It also means the last month of Match the TAC is up, so it's your last chance to get a IS-GW for doing as much as flying a single free mission. And do fly - last month I had to put the IS-BW into a box and ship it back to the OPS since no one was interested in having it! I'm also planning another fleet wide competition for January, in the tradition of my earlier Movie Mania and TC Show mania competitions. Be on the look out for the TAC reports and the forums! For those who are interested, although little changes for you: the Tactical office website and database were moved to the new emperorshammer.org server. After a small bugfixing session to hunt down two bugs (caused by the same problem), the site is fully operational. Which is good. Next up: a new website for the TIE Corps!

"TACcy Quote? What in tarnation is that?" you may ask. Well, it's a quote (dűh). And the rules are simple. Which movie is it from? Some will be dreadfully simple, some will be hairraising. Oh well :) The first person to send me the correct answer via e-mail wins an IS-BR. Every 3rd time you win (if you do...) the IS-BR will be upgraded to an IS-GR. The timetag on my inbox decides. And this time I give you: How's it feel to have a wacko for a son? The lines are open as of now!
